Yay, ipernity is back up! It's a new dawn :-)
(See PiP for the gloomy outlook when you have no place to go and no one to see .... just kidding.)

LutzP, Berny, Peter_Private_Box, Fred Fouarge and 8 other people have particularly liked this photo

Great to be standing here with you on this New Dawn, Sarah. We never know how good something is, until it is no longer there. A fine start with these two photos.

See you again soon. Herb

Fascinating old wood - not really driftwood, up that high.

And Ipernity may be up, but not all of it yet, it looks like. Or doesn't look like. Or whatever.

yes, not driftwood but the remnant of a tree, turned into a sculpture by wind and weather.
and yes, not all of the functionality appears to be back, but the main thing is we can share and comment again, which seems to be what people have missed most.

As the song goes, "what a difference a day makes"! The same scene and totally different images. Likewise, it's so good to be back with ipernity.

I read that that islet was put there purposely to create that shot. An islet in an eyelet, as it were, so to speak, to coin a phrase (© 1974, Billy Connolly). It's land art.

Well, to be a bit more serious, it's land art now that you've discovered it. One of the joys of photography to my mind.

Thank you for that comment, especially the islet/eyelet part -- made my day!
