I can imagine being mesmerised by the waves for hours. I find them very hypnotic. Your composition is perfect with the jetty and the cliffs and the two white structures drawing the eye across the scene.

Yes I long to visit the coast as well Amelia. I won't get as far as Cornwall this year but we are taking Sophie to Weymouth again next week. I know a couple of quiet coves out of the main town, so hoping they are still quiet!

I don't know if you knew Andy Rodker, who sadly died last year, but this is a place he had often stood and taken very similar photos. It was quite close to where his parents lived, and also a favourite location of mine.
