Garden Wall.

Garden Wall.
It looks as though this was once part of a chapel, but the outside wall is all that remains. It is now some lucky person's garden wall.

A pretty cottage in Nunney.

Thank you John. The colours from the windows when the sun is shining must look beautiful on the garden. Best wishes, Rosa.

A lovely wall but in a way it defeats having a walled garden you wouldn't want to train things on it.
Is it a complete cottage or an extension of the larger one, I hope you are having a nice day Rosalyn I don't know if it's going to rain it doesn't look very promising

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Peter Castell club
I wouldn't want to cover the windows Peter, but I would love a wall like this in my garden.
It's part of the larger cottage. Been lovely here today but has just started to rain now!

Great capture of this interesting wall Rosa. I love the changing colours and light across the three windows and the texture of the stone used. The thatched cottage with the whitewashed walls and rose bushes looks so very English!

All the best, Doug

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Doug Shepherd club
Thank you Doug. The changing colours must look so good from the garden side.
Yes the cottage is quite typically English. It also backs on to a river and they have a lovely courtyard garden.
All the best, Rosa.

The main image is wonderful Rosa...........the detail in the stonework is perfect and those windows are just stunning! In fact I was so taken by them I had a bit of a google and found out that the house, which seems to have been built in 1812, has just been sold...........it was on the market for £740,000............here's a link if you are nosy like me: www.visitnunney.com/sale-chapel-castle-street

I love the image of the cottage in the PiP too!

Are you sure it wasn't you that bought it? It seems a bit of coincidence that you photographed it only a couple of days before it was sold :-))

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Keith Burton club
Thanks for the link Keith....just a little out of my price range ;-) I don't know if it is still there but there was a garden designer/builder near Shepton Mallet that would build a folly or "ruin" in your garden. I always fancied that, but probably very expensive.

Thank you so much for your kind comments and information.

You are living in such a beautiful area ...
Wish you a nice day, my dear friend.
Still no rain, BUT a grey sky ... which is much better for the vegetation.
