A truckle of cheese John. It's the barrel shape that cheese such as cheddar is cut from. This truck sold just cheese :)

Not part of the farmer's market Peter. Must have had permission to trade there though.

What a great town hall! A lovely modest size and design, unlike some of the more grandiose buildings some of our 'masters' like to build for themselves. I Like the citroën, full of character and I have learned what a truckle is, bonus! Great capture Rosa.

Yes, I agree Doug, a lovely town hall. They also hold wedding ceremonies there and that always looks beautiful when they stand on the balcony for photos. A perfect job for the citroen....fits it perfectly I think :) Thank you for your lovely comments.

Well, living in the county of Cheddar cheese, I would be shot if I didn't know it :) I hear it quite often as there are often truckles of cheeses for sale or to be cut from in our High Street butcher's shop.

A truckle is the shape the cheeses are made into and stored before cutting.
Especially hard cheeses like cheddar.
