I love this little church in the middle of this beautiful countryside! Really a nice shot!!!!!!!!

Cracking composition Rosa. I like the natural framing of the church and the smooth transition from the almost invisible soft tones of the hills on the horizon to the strong contrast and colours in the foreground.

I went to school with the Vicar's son a long time ago Rosa, they lived in Tanyard Lane. I used to help out in the farm just beyond the church too. Lovely shot

Oh yes, I know Tanyard's Lane. Johnny Walker from Radio 2 lives near the church now. Do you remember a Canadian lady who lived in Motcombe? She was often on the bus I used to take to work. I can't remember her name.

Rosa, this is a magnificent image..............beautifully composed with the church nicely framed by the trees. The mist and diffused light gives the background a wonderful ethereal look.

A lovely view enhanced by the mist, I hope you are having a nice day Rosalyn somewhere away from the bank holiday crowds I was going to have a look at the gardens at Calk Abbey saw the number of cars going in and went walkies instead !!

It did look lovely in the mist Peter. I walked the dog down to the church and up Gold Hill...phew!!
I'm am staying close to come for the weekend too.

A perfectly composed and excellent shot Rosa but where is it ????

It is taken from the far end of the Park in Shaftesbury. There is a steep walk down to St James' which is lovely, but you have to remember it's a steep walk back up!
