Given time and the absence of people a slow shutter speed may have yielded a misty fountain, but I see from other replies you only had seconds to get the shot in.

That would have been ideal but unfortunately a very busy path in front of it leading to the car parks.

Oh I wouldn't mind standing under that right now !

I shall be writing to the National Trust I went to Packwood House today a sprinkler was being used on a lawn at 3pm I was not impressed. Have you got some good walks planned for tomorrow

We have a well in the front garden Peter, but that's running low as well. Five miles each way had a storm on Friday, but nothing here. Just local walks today to settle the dogs in.

I hate it Amelia !

Things still have to be done but it becomes impossible. Mornings have heavy dew so you cant mow.. evenings you need to wait till it drops below 90 and still need to be careful. I have had heat exhaustion 4 times now.. and that IS being careful.

The cold.. we go down to about -15F .. I do that A LOT easier !

Not quite as hot her today - YET! But I'd love to be standing in this fountain at this very moment.

Still very hot here Amelia and I have two dogs to take for walks for a fortnight whilst their owners are on holiday. I could do with the exercise, but hope it's cooler next week.

Great depth to this capture Rosa. The fountain would certainly be a temptation!

Ja onder die fontein is het zeker koel---maar ik zie daar ook wat meer wolken dan hier bij ons--bij mij 33 ' op mijn balkon,,,en dan --volgens de weerprofeten duurt het ook in augustus nog voort,,,,,,volgende week een eerste echte hittegolf,,,,5 dagen op rij 30 plussers,,,,dus ik zou zeggen zet je schrap voor de volgende maand!
Ik ben gisteravond met de scootmobiel gaan rijden,,,,lekker rijwindje,,met pet op hield ik het goed vol---de rest van deze week wordt het iets minder warm (25') en volgende weekeinde zelfs 20 ' maar meteen na het weekeinde,,,,,houd je vast,,,kruip maaf in de schaduw

Thank you for the long range weather forecast Fred :-)) After a really hot day today it has now rained for a brief period! I was hoping it would continue longer! I should not moan about the heat as it would be worse if it rained all the time! I shall look forward to the impending high temperatures!
