I've donated. I put in more than I said in the survey, hoping that it can make up for someone who doesn't see this or who can't. What can you do to help keep us connected and up and running?

If you can't donate - can you post this around your groups and on other sites so maybe others can?

Tried to share it on a group that I administrate, but got a message:

"Sorry this photo is added to too many groups. Remove it from one group then try again."

But surely there are plenty of group shares around Ipernity already =)

Now we just need to like to get this and other similar posts on Explore ;-)

And share all our similar posts on Facebook, Twitter etc...

i "shared" this "photo" on as many of my groups as i could, then got the same message - so feel free to grab my image and repost it yourself, or make your own - if you copy and paste my comment at the top that is everything that is in my photo. Thanks for sharing info around. I did facebook. Don't have many people connected to me on twitter, but will do it anyway.

I have created a new thread asking for Help in the Group project.

Others have had this problem, but I believe you just ate picking a dollar amount but your card will go through. Hope you keep trying. You could be having issues if you are using paypal to pay. Please keep asking for help if you can't get it to work - I coukd possibly help you directly if you can't figure it out. Where there is a will there is a way!

I just saw on other post (by Ipernity) your comment that you found a way around by the help of another member! That is what I was willing to do for you as well. WE REALLY ARE AN AMAZING GROUP OF PEOPLE!! So glad it worked out for you.

Does it indeed not allow paying it in dollars anyway? I'm living in Finland, and had not problems to donate in dollars. I can't even remember what I promised to donate when that was asked: So, I just donated 80$ to make sure it is at least enough.

Please remember that the crowdfunding being undertaken by the IMA has nothing to do with monies already paid to Ipernity SA for subscriptions. This is to keep the site alive for a few more months until the takeover by the community can be finalised.

We have less than 2 weeks to reach our target or, according to what I've been told, the site will most certainly close. So if you want ipernity to still be here next month please support the crowdfunding campaign.

I think it is also vital that people are made aware that at present there is no guarantee that subscription monies paid recently or prior to the IMA takeover of the platform will go towards helping save the site or towards helping the IMA reach their target.

So, unless Ipernity SA are willing to give an undertaking that any monies paid from today to them for membership will be passed to the IMA I would recommend people do not renew their Club membership should it be coming up for renewal.

That money will almost certainly be lost so please either keep it until the IMA takeover or better still donate it to the crowdfunding campaign.

I know, right? We are awesome!!! Have you seen how members are helping other members donate when their country isn't supported, or they don't have a credit card? So great.

When the survey was done to see how many people would be interested in keeping IP alive & roughly how much would they donate .... was that number about 3,000 ...... we have only had 303 at last look that have donated ......................... !!!! ???? Which is brilliant to those people's generosity keep going nearly there ......

dont' know if i replied about this to you already somewhere else. we are past 500 donaters now. it's really not unusual for people to say one thing and then not notice, not get around to, not be able to do as they said. we have a classical radio station in our town that is non-profit supported by listeners, and they consistently only get about 10% of people to donate. We are really doing great!! of course it would be better if all joined in, but they will have to for memberships once we have transitioned, so it will all work out.

Based on a Skype® call today with Christophe, there is reason for optimism. The Ipernity platform appears to remain viable with the new reality – decline in memberships since January and existing direct expenses, some of which can be reduced resulting in up to 5000 Euros of savings per year. We are awaiting further information.

It is anticipated IMA will receive firm numbers and copies of invoices regarding revenues, expenses and actual membership figures by the end of the week that hopefully confirms site viability.

Other topics such as contractual obligations (negligible aside from Amazon Cloud), network configuration and transfer logistics were also discussed. Also please be sure if IMA takes over the platform, all features including compatibility with mobile apps will remain.

Please know we do not take your donations and the responsibility thrust upon us lightly. If the site is viable with a bright long-term future we will enter into agreement with Ipernity S.A. early next week. If it is not viable or the long-term future remains uncertain, we will end the effort and return the donations. Disappointment alone is better than disappointment and loss of money.

If we enter into agreement to takeover the platform, please know the original 100K Euro revenue-sharing figure based on certain outcomes has been removed. This is a win for everyone here since it will allow this excess revenue to be invested into the site and give IMA flexibility to consider a reduction in membership dues.

Finality is near. A final Skype® call will be held early next week to conclude a deal one way or the other. We ask for a few more days of your patience even though the uncertainty has been very difficult and challenging. Most importantly, thank you for placing your trust in us to do the right thing with your words of encouragement, prayers and contributions.
