Very nice to see Pam J, usually one says *'Living a dogs life is negative'but honestly right now after nine months of illness I envy your dog.

She has had nearly 3 years of uncertainty in her life.. she so deserves this. Her life span will be about 10-12 years hopefully.. that a large part of her life she has not had this joy.

I also understand how you are feeling. I have had over 50 years of pain but I refused a long time ago to let it stop me.

We do all we can....

She repeats this every morning.. its as if she has to imprint the joy.

Makes me a little teary-eyed to think of her being loved and cared for after a difficult three years.

I tear up on a daily basis right now. Whilst she was not abused (as Flicka deeply was) she has had let down after let down in her life.

Right now we are going through building trust. She wont get in the car.. does it in her mind equal "loss" again ? But.. we are working on it... lots of treats.. and she actually sat in the car with all doors open today. She has a vet appointment on Thursday... so its an ongoing trust build.

Also.. she is so very gentle and loving... she is totally cat safe so the little ferals I have taken in and had snipped and vetted and are in/out cats now are even nose kissing her and she them.

When I see her show joy like this.. I know we can together make it "right"

It was a long and hard road with my beloved Flicka.. and Nerys I am sure was sent by Flicka and Lucas.
