... ich weiß allerdings nicht, ob ich mit diesem wirren Durcheinander noch dem TSC-Thema entspreche. Die "Zeichen an der Wand" sind hier ja eher sehr unkonkret. Hab' mich um eine Eigeninterpretation bemüht (s. Antwort an Lothar).

Not sure how the idea of "mene, mene, tekel, parsin" comes clear in this picture, BUT I like the picture! =) The days are somewhat numbered for those chairs, at leasts the days of possession by their previous owners.

... the topic of todays challenge was difficult. Too much interpretations.
Translating the sentence it means "signs on the wall" .... "mene mene tekel u-parsin" (old testament) means bad news for Belsazar, the end of his kingdom. The idea came from the "mummy" in the background. The chairs are only actors in a bad game.

... diese Redewendung (s. TSC- Tagesaufgabe) kannte ich nicht. Kann also nur hoffen, daß ich das Thema nicht verfehlt habe ... von wg. "Zeichen an der Wand" .... das zielt ja wohl mehr in Richtung schlechter Zukunftsaussichten ... hmmmm, im November sind Wahlen; interpretier's mal so: beide Kandidaten im Clinch miteinander ....

Ach ja, cammino, Du warst ja erst kürzlich in B. - stimmt, es gibt so einige "In-Gegenden",
die touristisch stark frequentiert werden. Aktuell ist es noch Friedrichshain.
Noch auch der RAW-Tempel. Leider ziehen die Touristen zunehmend auch die kriminelle Szene an, v.a. Raub und Drogenkriminalität. Die Berliner Polizei hat das ganze Gelände mittlerweile als "gefährliches Gebiet" eingestuft und ist ständig präsent. Schade, vor Jahren war es dort richtig gemütlich ....
