We hadn't see the actual Kelpies before this so I wasn't expecting them to be so big and impressive. HFF and have a good weekend

I have photographed the Kelpie Maquettes in Edinburgh and at two locations in Glasgow. I had the pics on Panoramio, which is sadly no more. I know the maquettes have been displayed in St Andrews, but I missed them there. There is a Kelpies Maquettes webpage. Cheers, Joe

Thank you very much Karen. Really appreciated. They are massive horses' heads, like these smaller versions but 30m tall, created by Andy Scott. They have a door at the base and you can go inside them. Kelpies are mythical equine creatures said to inhabit the lochs of Scotland.
