High and Mighty

Corpach Basin, at the Western end of the Caledonian Canal. The lock gates in the distance mark the start of what is Scotland's longest canal. Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, can be seen in the background on the right, and snow is still visible at the top.

Royal Border Bridge

Part of the Royal Border Bridge spanning the Tweed between Berwick on Tweed and Tweedmouth. Built between 1847 and 1850 and designed by Robert Stephenson, the bridge is 659 metres long and boasts 28 arches. It is part of the East Coast Main Line, which was electrified in 1989. My link is 'Borderline' by Madonna www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSaC-YbSDpo Better viewed large
