Ein Märzenbecher in der Froschperspektive - A frog's eye view of a spring snowflake - PiP
Normally you can't see the inside of the flower of the spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum) because the flower is held like a bell by the flower stem. In the case of this flower, I managed to get a close-up showing the inside of the flower. You can see that the stamens have openings at the end from which the pollen grains fall out, like in a salt shaker. The yellow colour inside the perianth is of course due to the yellow pollen. The PiP shows a second flower in another close-up.
