Selbständig, aber nicht allein ... On its own feet, but not alone ...
Also: Nicht versuchen zu fangen! In Ruhe lassen!

... is this young kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) that I found today in a wild field while hiking. At first I thought it was hurt. But when it got closer (about 5 m) it flew onto the next tree. Young kestrels deceptively resemble female kestrels. But based on the behavior I assume that it was a juvenile that has not been independent for long and is still being supplied with food by the adult birds for a few weeks until it has its own hunting ground. So: don't try to catch it! Leave it alone!
