Die Paarungszeit der Wasserfrösche beginnt - The mating season of the water frogs begins - mit PiP

Slowly, the mating season begins and the water frogs gather in the waters where they have developed as tadpoles to mate. The fertilised eggs then develop into small tadpoles, from which small frogs emerge after about 8 weeks. The forest pond in the picture, which looks dirty at first glance, contains various algae and other plants that serve as food for the frog's offspring. Older water frogs usually stay in the area around a water body, young animals often live away from ponds.
