Oha, Gudrun, muss ich mir Sorgen machen ;-))?
Solche Anblicke kenne ich von Silvester, aber ansonsten ist die Stadt da hinter her.
Interessantes Foto, in der Vorschau, dachte ich noch an eine Lampe.
Danke für dem Tipp mit dem Kenko Konverter, hab da was für mich gefunden und geordert.

Vielen Dank, Uwe! Nicht doch;-) Ich bin mit meinen paar Flaschen wieder retour, als ich die Sauerei gesehen habe... Die städische Abfallwirtschaft ist eigentlich auch immer zuverlässig, aber die Glascontainer sind an eine Privatfirma fremdvergeben;-)

Ich hoffe, du wirst mit dem Telekonverter so zufrieden sein wie ich mit meinem!

Well I suppose that at least folks have managed to put the bottles next to the bottle banks in quite an orderly fashion, Gudruin. From the second PiP I can see that there has been a bulk buying of the same wine, possibly from Lidl. :-)

I wonder if you watched any of the news about the Birmingham refuse workers being on strike in summer and autumn? Now that was absolute chaos!

Thanks a lot, Amelia! Well, you are supposed to have your bottles/ glasses clean and without plastic or metal tops- Germans aren't as orderly as they are said to be;-) And the dumped mattress is a disgrace...
The wine bottles are Rotkäppchen champagne, they might well be from Lidl;-) They are quite good, actually!
I didn't read about the Birmingham strke but I was in London in the 80ies when the refuse workers were on strike- awful!

Privatisation was the culprit here, not enough staff... They should have a deposit on wine bottles and most of these would be gone in record time;-)

Must have been some good times for those public holidays! Great photo opportunity you came upon Gudrun! Love the main shot and the others in your series are very good. The one with the mattress made me laugh as it looked like someone had to sleep off the after effects of the holiday partying. (although it does as you say make for a messy image on the street)

Thanks a lot, Chris! What really amazes me is that this is not an unusual amount of bottles! It's just that the firm supposed to take them away haven't done so in time and this makes you realize just how much waste we produce. The mattress is what you get when rubbish isn't collected, people feel free to add their own.

Thankfully now more people are taking the bottles to the recycling plant but you're right there is so much waste there is in the world. We leave a bigger footprint than we realize. As for the mattress, the recycling areas here have the same problem. The signs say no things like this but they still dump them there. :(

Sadly people only follow rules if it's to their advantage or if social pressure or fear of penalties makes them do it.

Thanks a lot, Harriet! You are lucky! Here they collect everything except bottles. We have 3 different wastebins for normal waste, organic waste and paper, plus yellow bags for plastic and cans... and extra collections on demand for furniture and other big stuff.

Bei uns in LB wurde die Abfuhr gleicher Produkte in selbigem Zeitraum durch STREIK bei den Entsorgungsfirmen verzögert.
Das wird auch die Ursache bei euch gewesen sein.

Bei euch auch? Die Firma hat behauptet 2 Fahrer seien durch Krankheit ausgefallen, und da sie eh nur 4 Fahrer einsetzen, gab's ein Problem...Nächstes Jahr ist Neu-Ausschreibung, ich hoffe die Stadt ist so schlau, ein paar Bedingungen und Konventionalstrafen reinzuschreiben.

Da hat wohl einer seinen Sperrmüll abgeladen, diese Unsitte greift immer weiter um sich. Bei uns stand monatelang ein alter Kühlschrank vor dem Haus:-(

und die Tüten werden aus den Altkleiderboxen rausgepult und dann aufgerissen im Regen liegen gelassen und dazwischen auch Fön oder so
und das Altpapier in Kisten daneben gestellt (von Autofahrern) nur weil man hier so gut parken kann und ich lauf mit meinem im zweifelsfall zum nächsten container

Da bin ich ja fast froh, dass wir keine Altkleiderboxen haben;-) Du musst das Papier wegtragen, oje! Dafür haben wir eine grüne Tonne, aber die ist gleich nach der Leerung voll, wenn einer beim Aus- oder Einzug seine Kartonagen entsorgt...
