Andy Rodker club has replied to Jenny McIntyre clubThey're cistus or 'rock rose' in english. They are abundant on the mountainsides of Southern Spain and Portugal and this is just about their most northerly range. They can be spectacular in late May and early June here. Isabel in the Algarve, Portugal gets them flowering in February there!!
