Andy Rodker club has replied to William Sutherland clubAndy Rodker club has replied to José Manuel Polo clubI have never known anything different around these coasts so you may be right.
I remember asking the same question when I was a child, thinking it might be pollution and, while I can't now remember the answer I was given, it definitily wasn't caused by pollution!
The rock is all granite here.

Andy Rodker club has replied to J.Garcia clubAndy Rodker club has replied to Annemarie clubAndy Rodker club has replied to RHHBut Atlantic storms are fierce and often destructive and I'm amazed we can still follow the line of these walls; a testament to the building skills of those early farmers!
Andy Rodker club has replied to Ulrich John clubA lovely view over the cliff edge Andy.............I like the textures and details in the rocks. A nice display of heather on the cliff edge too!
Andy Rodker club has replied to Keith Burton clubNot completely sure about that. In many cases you're quite right, especilly where the rock is softer than granite, but here it's granite and I should think less quick to erode.
