A favourite rock. The path goes through the rock window you can see at right centre (it's easy peasy!)

Wow that looks good fun. Is the tunnel man-made or did it happen naturally?

Good point, Jenny, a bit of both I'd say. The window is natural but a few slabs were placed on the other side to create steps where a 'take a deep breath and pray' jump had been required before. In my first year here, I did the former and had to jump every time. Now it is a leasurely stroll!

The Place of Granite Tigers. (Hey, that's a good book title. You may use it if you like.)

Some amazing textures in these rocks...............the rusty coloured one is particularly nice. You could be forgiven thinking that those verticle "stripes" were man-made!

Nice one Andy!

I thought it might have been a legacy of quarrying activity but I just can't really see it, Keith. This area was under ice in the ice Age and it might have been gouged by rocks embedded in a moving ice sheet. Or ... or .....
Many thanks!
