Correct in the main Jenny, but granite is formed a long way beneath the surface of the earth (definitely molten!) and is known as Metamorphic rock. Rock that comes direct from volcanoes and lava flows is termed igneous.

Sadly, I've nearly run out of Cornwall photos and since my hard drive has all my photos but I can't access them just now, I am restricted in what I can upload. Hopefully there is still enough of some interest. I just have to try and find the time to get out there!
