H. A. N. W. E. everyone! Lion's Den 1 & Housel Bay - The Lizard. For Pam.
Behind me is the southernmost tip of the British mainland at The Lizard. Lion's Den refers to the hole in the land that appeared overnight in 1840 when a sea cave collapsed. Not all that visible from here - it's on the left of the shot - but spectacular close up. I took shots, but must have deleted them for some reason. I visited the Lizard regularly at one time but 2011 was the last time and the only time when I had a camera.

Thank you, Eric. I had a good hunt for a shot of the enormous and deep hole in the ground that is Lion's Den, bus alas ... (I think a tidy up some years ago before I knew what I was doing deleted quite a few of my early Spain and Cornwall shots)

Thank you Marie-france. In fact I believe Ouessant and The Lizard Peninsula of Cornwall share the same geology: much granite but also much else including some interesting and rare stones and rocks.

I understand the Housel Bay hotel seen over there (rather grand and pricy I gather), owns the beach and have a secluded path down to it. One day I might try and locate it - purely in the interests of science of course.
