Google Earth sagt so um die 1440m herum Fred. ;-)

I exaggerated in error! I must have been thinking of another summit near here!
Hidden in this shot and just behind this summit is EL Cancho Largo, the highest peak in the Sierra de La Cabrera but only a handfull of metres higher. When up there, it nearly always looks as if Cancho Gordo is the higher.

I think granite landscapes look so much more interesting when the granite is interspersed with shrubs and other foliage as in this shot.

'Was' energetic, Jenny - various ailments have stopped me gallivanting among the mountaintops as I did not so long ago! But I still get up there from time to time and the exercise does me a lot of good!
Yes, there are very many paths for those who don't want to behave like a mountain goat!
