Thank you, Dida. Time is flying by in my case, but I do enjoy life!

Thank you as always, William. I think I was a bit too bold with the PiPs. ;-)

I agree about the bravery, Janano. Time is a bit of a let down as far as looks go. ;-)

They disappear round a corner like a flash of lightning, Stoker. It doesn't seem that long ago when I was wearing that little yellow check frock with a big bow in my hair. ;-)

Love the clock and the way you've captured it Amelia ... the images in the Notes are really interesting to see too ... I'm guessing the oldest one is of your Mum when she was young? :)

Amelia club has replied to autofantasia club
The oldest photo is of me when I was coming up for five, Paul. My mum was forty-four when this was taken by a professional polyphoto photographer. Time speaks for itself in the gradual deterioration of the images. ;-)

The hour hand is broken but is not lost, Hubs, and the clock goes for 8 days. We don't wind the chimes up - they are very strident.

Really, Nick? That's extraordinary.! My dad gave this to my mum when they got engaged. She was born in Dundee, and he was a romantic at heart. ;-)

Many thanks, Mick. I haven't changed a bit - except that the ribbon has been exchanged for a hat. ;-)

So well done, Amelia! I thought of the song and couldn't think of something good to illustrate it.. That clock is lovely and so are your PiPs- you have kept well;-)
My great grandmother had a clock like this with Westminster chimes, it went every 15 minutes- as did the church bells next door, only a few minutes later;-)

This clock chimes the quarters too, Gudrun, and is enough to keep one awake at night. Luckily I am deaf, so it doesn't bother me these days, ;-)
So happy that you approve of the photos over time. I'll keep applying the magic face cream!

The clock is superb and the PiPs are terrific. I have been enjoying the comments and your replies, Amelia.
From someone who seriously doesn't think himself a day over 29, I'm not sure what the problem is (and my nose suddenly seems to be growing a lot longer!).
:o)
Have a good week. best wishes, Andy

It's a really beautiful clock Amelia, and you must be very fond of it,being your dad's present to your mother. This picture or better this series of pictures are pleasantly personal, because they tell us your reflections on time as well as sharing some nice pictures of you and your mum, to signify how time inevitably goes by.All this accompanied by unforgettable music and by your smile...absolutely well done!

My mum's photo isn't on here, Adele, but I do have a photo of her as a baby taken in 1902. I am delighted that you liked the clock and the smiles. Time goes by so quickly - I go to bed on Christmas day night, and when I wake up in the morning it's Easter! .-)
