Dear members and friends of ipernity!

1) To date, 50 club members and 35 "free" users have made financial contributions to the reprogramming of ipernity. The amounts paid in adds up to 8,543 EUR (28,5 % of the required starting capital).

2) This Sunday, 10 March, 18:00 CET, there will be a trial run for the General Assembly. All members who have registered by then can participate.

3) Please do not wait until the last day with your candidatures! It is important that all members can familiarise themselves with staff matters in good time. Please announce your interest as soon as possible in a comment below the Call for Candidatures.

1) A ce jour, 50 membres du club et 35 utilisateurs "gratuits" ont contribué financièrement à la reprogrammation d'ipernity. Les montants versés s'élèvent à 8.543 EUR (28,5 % du capital initial requis).

2) Dimanche prochain, le 10 mars à 18h00 CET (heure de Paris), nous ferons un test pour l'Assemblée Générale. Tous les membres qui se sont inscrits d'ici là peuvent participer.

3) N'attendez pas le dernier jour pour vos candidatures ! Il est important que tous les membres puissent se familiariser en temps utile avec le profil des candidats. Veuillez annoncer votre candidature le plus tôt possible dans un commentaire en dessous de l'Appel à Candidatures.

1) Inzwischen haben sich 50 Club-Mitglieder und 35 “freie” Nutzer finanziell für die Neuprogrammierung von ipernity engagiert. Die eingezahlten Beträge summieren sich auf 8.543 EUR (28,5% des erforderlichen Startkapitals).

2) Am kommenden Sonntag, 10. März, 18:00 Uhr CET, findet ein Probelauf für die Mitgliedervollversammlung statt. Teilnehmen können alle Mitglieder, die sich bis dahin registrieren lassen.

3) Bitte wartet mit euren Kandidaturen nicht bis zum letzten Tag! Es ist wichtig, dass sich alle Mitglieder rechtzeitig mit den Personalangelegenheiten vertraut machen können. Meldet euer Interesse bitte so bald wie möglich in einem Kommentar unterhalb des Aufrufs zur Kandidatur an.

Thank you for the update.
For me the number of contributions is disappointing, especially those from the free users (35 of 11.000 ones who got an email). It seems they are not really interested in 'saving' ipernity.

Please be patient, Jaap! Today is March 8, 2019. The campaign started around mid-February 2019 and will run until mid-May 2019.

For me Jaap, I rely on my State Pension from month to month, my other private pensions come twice a year July & January. Come July I will make a donation to help the cause.

Hi Jaap,
I think you are too pessimistic.

We got 8.500 € within four weeks! The mail to the non-paying users is now out for two weeks. Be a little more patient.

There is an other photography related web site, camera-info.de. They do have pay-accounts, they do have ads and they made a call for donations to amend their software. Goal was 400 € within four weeks. They got only 207 €.

So our result is absolutely gorgeous! And I am sure it will rise further. By the way, it is good to see tha tother communities do have the same problems as we do. 'There is no free internet.......

Sorry Jaap, perhaps my comment is misplaced in this thread, what I think I was trying to say is that when anything is free, people will take it regardless if they want it or not. Additionally I often wonder out of all the free users how many are just holiday or weekend snappers with little time available to spend on the hobby.

I know several 'Free ridrs' they will not pay as they believe it should be free as on Facebook.

They are entitled to believe that but I will not be sorry to see them degraded to Guest status.

The mails to the free users went out only on 1 March, thus 7 days ago. It was still formulated very politely.

Most recipients probably didn't realize at all that their storage space would be drastically reduced after the deadline. We will make this clearer in the second and third mailings.

Just stopping by to mention that the note to the free users was a great idea, as I stopped back due to it and remembered how much I enjoyed the site, and subsequently re-upped as a fully clump member and server-funds lender to boot. Good work!

I wonder if there it would be possible to adjust the login page one more time and include the request for a $10 donation right next to the donate button. it could be in the form of a quick ask.
something very simple relating to our current fundraising needs.

maybe the programming is too complicated, but it might draw a few more 'free' users to donate. i'm thinking of it kind of like how wikipedia will do a pop up when you go to their page when they are in fund raising mode. we wouldn't do a pop up, but add the specific $10 request on the login until we meet our goal. once we do, then we could put a thank you in the same spot saying thanks to donaters we met the goal.

Lieber Udo, dieses Feature wurde auf Deinen Wunsch hin ausdrücklich in das Manifest zur Neuprogrammierung von ipernity aufgenommen (Absatz 4, Satz 4): " Im Aktionsmenü könnte man einige zusätzliche Funktionen hinzufügen, wie beispielsweise einen Druckdienst oder eine nutzerspezifische Datensicherung."

wel wil ik nog kwijt over iets wat jaap uit het veen eerder voorstelde dat de gratis gebruikers 20 fotos mogen opladen,,,dat getal nog te hoog vond....ik ben het daar volledig mee eens !

The number of 20 was a consensus of the community. Leave also the guests a small play area. In comparison to the traffic the storage costs of the guests are insignificant.

Oleg, maybe the best solution for you and for the ipernity is that you pay for subscription. Significantly more than 10€, but you get also all account advantages into your use.

And thank you for reporting. We try to figure out what could cause it.

Not yet exactly, because the amount of donations will not be visible before the end ot the month. The amount of loans is 11,026.43 EUR (36,8% of 30,000 EUR) until today.
