Holkham Hall

Holkham Hall
The last day of our Norfolk holiday and we have ended up at the majestic Holkam Hall near Well- next-the-Sea.
Holkham Hall is an 18th-century country house near the village of Holkham, Norfolk, England, constructed in the Neo-Palladian style for Thomas Coke, 1st Earl of Leicester. It sits on 25,000 acres of deer park, gardens and a lake.

A very nice thing about this time-limited trip was that it was free to park for two hours and then walk around the grounds. A fine place to explore. The house itself was closed that day.

It was indeed Gordon. It was free to park for a couple of hours here and so we had a picnic by the lake and a swift explore around the house (which was closed). Well recommended.

Hi Pete. No its not National Trust but private. Normally one pays for the big carpark but they also had a short stay one a little further form the house that we stayed in. No idea what the procedures are for the house. A great place to visit however if you are even in that part of the world.
