Beautiful bird image; great use of bokeh.

Being fluffed up makes it look quite grumpy, though I think I'd be grumpy too in those temperatures. Brrrr!

It looks like it is doing what we might do to blow ourselves up -shutting its mouth (beak) and blowing like mad :) - It was very cold.

A delightful and very sharp winter image, Herb. A sweet little robin all fluffed up and a beautiful bokeh.

Great that you enjoyed this. I did i fact take a few, including some very nice with a deep blue sky background but I did like the colours and bokeh of this capture before it moved to the higher perch with the blue.

Glad you liked another of my shots Keith. I thought I looked more smug than cold. I once heard (or read) that these birds have hardly any nerve endings in those feet (claws)so don't feel the cold. Glad you liked the bokeh which to be honest is more accidental than through design :)
