Town & Country
A view from a hill that I see from my house window. We see in the misty distance the city of Manchester but here the ground is frozen underfoot and urban life seems a long way away. A good hour of hard walking to get back in these conditions.
Taken just a year and some days ago as the recent snows were just starting to melt away on the same day in this year of 2026.
PS to those British viewers who see this, you may see my double-meaning reference to “Town & Country” as we have a car tyre type of the same name and we have prominent tyre tracks here, (more likely done by a tractor though :))
Best full screen
Enjoy the weekend.

A really nice picture, which I like very much!
Wonderful and interesting composition, especially the hazy view of Manchester.
Shame we don't still have smoking factory chimneys contributing!!
Best Wishes, HFF, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!
