HAPPY FENCE FRIDAY

Happy Fence Friday everybody, Sorry this has been posted on Monday but....I'm new to this!
This is part of the Chirk castle fence in Wales. Apologies for the big gate too :)
Pontcysyllte Aqueduct
A HFF to all from the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in Wales. A big fence needed here to stop walkers from falling down this great height. Note, there is only a fence on one side. On the other, there is a 20cm iron lip to stop canal boats going over!
The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct at 307m in length, is a navigable aqueduct that carries the Llangollen Canal across the River Dee in north east Wales. The 30m high, 18-arched stone and cast iron structure, which took ten years to design and build, was completed in 1805. - Another triumph for Telford,
A blast of Winter
As the Winter here in Oldham carries on forever, there are some benefits. Here we stroll down one of my local walks which is transformed into a Winter Wonderland. The fence forcing our eye and bodies to continue down the road wondering, "what is around the corner".
HFF to all here in Ipernity
NB: Late addition, see the PiP in top left for mono version.
Harmony

There are many kinds of fences, some more practical than others. Here we see a fence of two wires and three post. Purpose and practicality ??? - Seen in the middle of a lake ( Las Salinas) in the town of Calp, Spain.
HAPPY FENCE FRIDAY
Good morning from Altea, Spain. As the sun rises above the horizon a new day is said to begin but actually it bagan almost an hour back with the first signs of dawn just around the big outcrop of Peñón d'Ifach that you can see here on your left. As on that day, the fence shows us the way to go. I wish you all a HFF.
ps, PiP's here too!
Happy Fence Day
An old mill in Oldham
Fence, stairs and grid shadows as seen on one of our local mills. A nostalgic view for all those that have laboured in such places. HFF to all my viewers.
PiP for alternative colour version.
Tollesbury
Here we are on the River Blackwater,Tollesbury in Essex. Not far from the sea, and so very tidal. These fences act as coastal erosion protection on this part of the river.
A Happy Easter to all my viewers
HFF - Blue curves and edges
In the old town of Skiathos, many touches of the local architecture and style met ours eyes and thoughts. Could I catch those scenes and the feelings they convey on camera? Maybe, only you can say!
HFF everyone!
Delph
A Wintry scene on one of my local walks in the Saddleworth village of Delph. The trees and reflections really drew me to this, the fence -well that adds too.
Etretat
A misty look at this beautiful chalk arch as we follow the fence. It did get brighter and clearer as the day drew on. Such a scene as this demanded a further visit, which we managed almost a week later in the sun but without the flavour we see here.
HFF to all, and enjoy your weekend, Herb
nb PiP for higher view of these cliffs
Down to Yeoman Hey
Looking down from Greenfield reservoir to Yeoman Hey Reservoir, on quite a dull day. This is my usual local walking area.
Lee grad filter used to darken already leaden skies.
HFF to all, and enjoy your weekend, Herb
Dune Fence
There are fences everywhere in Britain. Here we see a lone fence on a big beach at Formby Point near Southport.
HFF to all, and enjoy your weekend, Herb
See Pip for my other Dune fence.

Benidorm Fence
One thinks of Benidorm in Spain as a resort of high rise hotels, bars and noise. Here we see a traquil view from one of the many promenades to the Islote de Benidorm.
HFF to all, and enjoy your weekend, Herb
A Brotherswater Idyll
Sit back with me here and wonder at how sometimes man's involvement with nature can harmonise so well.
Taken on the shores of one of the lesser known lakes: Brotherwater in our Lake District.
HFF to all, and enjoy your weekend, Herb
Iced fence.
A rather colourful capture of a reflecting fence in icy waters on a cold blue sky day. The water is part of Dove Stone reservoir and the fence is the overflow guard rail.
Best viewed full screen.
Autumn fence
Autumn is perhaps my favourite time of year for outdoor photography. I love the golden trees and the dappled sunlight as it burns through the early morning mist as demonstrated here.
Taken in my local park. Best viewed full screen.
I wish you all, a great weekend,Herb
Arched fence!

Taken in the beutiful city of Krakow in Poland in the wonderful old city square. This was in fact an upper entrance to the old 'ClothHall', moments later it was to be fully occupied by a party of schoolchildren. Best viewed full screen.
I wish you all, a great weekend,Herb
See PiP for my other curved steps
