Return of the 'Rusich'
In early 2013, it was something of a surprise to find a Viking longboat in our local marina (see note). It proved to be the Rusich, built and sailed to Australia by a group of keen Russian adventurers. The Rusich continued to a Wooden Boat Show in Hobart - and then reappeared briefly in our marina late in 2013.
After sailing further north, it has since been transported to Europe (Amsterdam) by ship. There are plans for a major trip through Europe, from the North Sea to the Mediterannean. The Rusich has its own "Facebook" page for anyone wishing to follow its travels.: www.facebook.com/pages/Rusich/132847630234849 .

Reminds me of the days of Thor Heyerdahl and Kon Tiki !
Beautiful photo !
For me personally.. the B&W is a wash out... LOVE the colour with its richness and depth.. and actually as it IS.
