Nicely taken series for this resort Rosalyn, one place I have never visited.

I think you can only get as far as Taunton by National Rail. The bit between Taunton and Minehead is a heritage railway line.

Yes you're right Keith. From Bishop's Lydeard to Minehead is the longest heritage line in the country I believe. I have been on it several times and absolutely love it! The little stations are so beautiful and well cared for. One time I got off at Dunster, but a warning....it's quite a walk to the village! ;-))

Tres buenas fotos complementarias. La costa la entiendo bien en el PiP-2. Fotografiaste en Minehead y la costa desciende hacia el Sur, bordea Cornualles y en 1.014 kilómetros finaliza en Poole. En esa costa posiblemente esté el área de Bude, o cerca, desde donde se conectará el cable submarino de datos con Sopelana y EE.UU. Buen domingo, Rosa.

Thank you very much George. I tend to do the same bits all the time, but I am going to Cornwall soon for a few days, so hopefully walk a new path.

A cracking follow-on from the other low-tide images Rosa...........it's great to get a look at the wider environment. You certainly had the weather for it............it looks wonderful in the sunshine. I especially like the tree-covered hill, which is gorgeous.

I love the statue as well...........it's just brilliant............and the detail you've captured and shown us in the PiPs is excellent.

A fine capture of Minehead Rosa. Some great walking on that path that we can vouch for, as having walked on part of it only days back. Some fine resorts and villages on the way too. Great capture of this sculpture too. Thanks for sharing.

A lovely place even at low tide. I have never been to Minehead, but I love that book sculpture. It really is eye catching.

Although it's in Somerset, it is further away than the Dorset coast and has a long and winding road from Bridgewater Amelia. We go through some lovely villages on the way though. The High Street is completely tree lined and always looks beautiful and they have some lovely gardens. Have I sold it to you yet ;o)

A lovely series from Minehead Rosa. The main shot of the promenade and beach with imposing forested hill is beautifully illuminated by the light. I'm impressed with the sculpture in the PiPs, very striking!
