Dunster Church & Cottage.

Many years ago, my daughter completed a longer internship in England.
I visited them there and we made a round trip around the whole island with a rental car.
We were always fascinated by such beautiful old buildings.

That's interesting Udo. I live where the counties of Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire meet. Did you visit any of them? Thank you for your kind comments.

On our route have been Bristol and Exeter, so it is likely that we were also in your area.
But it's been too long to be able to answer that more precisely.

La iglesia es de bella arquitectura y hermosa torre cubica con almenas y ventanales ojivales. La casa de campo es coqueta con dos chimeneas originales y ese entramado con vigas de madera. Viendo lápidas, supongo tumbas y está abierto, aquí se acostumbran cerrados.

I have just found out that the cottage was the Priest's house and it is of medieval structure and it was much restored in 1877. It still leads to the churchyard and church, but I took the main gateway....I wasn't sure whether it is now a private residence or not. Thank you as always for your interest and kind comments Jose Manuel.

The light in this series is particularly lovely Rosa..........it has brought out the gorgeous colours of the architecture, especially the brickwork and the roof tiles. I like the half-timbered houses with the ornate chimneys.

I've probably said this before...........but you really are good at this type of image. You've excelled yourself here!

I have found out that the house is medieval and where the priest lived. I would guess the church looked very different back then though.
