Stoke Trister ~ My Monday Walk.
On past the church and down into the village of Stoke Trister, I passed this house with a small opening in the outside wall. I wonder if it was once a farmhouse and something was sold from there. Maybe milk, butter or cheese. I need to find out! The PiP is the white cottage you see in the main shot.

(A lovely shot by the way!)
Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Andy Rodker clubIt must be very difficult for you over there. Take care and hopefully things will gradually get better.
Love the winding road and the details of the building in foreground.
All the best

A very nice picture, and a wonderful puzzle!!!
Being very curious, I found it on 'Streetview', and had a good look. Since there are no other shop like buildings there, I think you could be right!
Or maybe just an entrance to a store room...
Best Wishes, and stay safe!!
Peter
Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Peter_Private_Box clubThank you for your kind comments and interest. It's a very small village as you no doubt could see. I think it is for goods to be placed or left out for sale. It reminds me of pubs in the old days, when you could buy from something like this, if you were underage, or getting something for the parents! My dad never drank so I didn't get to use one :-))
Take care and have a good day,
Rosa.

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Ulrich John clubI like the view down the hill to the cottages and beyond..........and the little yellow door makes for good foreground interest. I also like the close up view of the white cottage in the PiP.
It's all especially beautiful in the sunshine. Nice work!

It might be an ATM Rosalyn, since there is no where open to spend any money they boarded it up ! :-)) But it looks like you had an enjoyable walk.

Winding and hilly for a healthy exercise .-) but, above all, through this village with my beloved typical English cottages /houses and shops so full of charm!
Have very good night!
