Good morning Rosalyn i hope you are well on this wet cold morning, they have certainly made considerable changes to the interior, there seems to be a trend to make them suitable for multi use, going back to the time when the nave in cathedrals was more live a market place, enjoy your day and keep dry

Thank you for your kind comments Doug. I was always told to open one side of a church gate, but luckily this was already done. Pleased you found the link interesting.

A beautiful auld kirk, Rosa. I love the lamp and the wrought-iron gate. I was in a Holy Trinity church the other day; the one in St Andrews. Cheers, Joe

So it IS possible for the Daily Mail to have interesting articles (wonders will never cease!).
The lady Reverend and my Sister-in-law are exact doppelgangers!
The church is a beauty and your composition perfect, Rosa. The interior looks good now too!
But I take issue with the Mail when it says that an otherwise ordinary-looking painting ... I beg to differ, it looks like a masterpiece and it is a masterpiece; nothing ordinary about it at all, but then the Mail, like Goering, was always suspicious of 'kulture'!

It would seem so Andy. I agree with you concerning the paintings. I gave up on the Mail and Express years ago. In fact I only have a newspaper on a Saturday. So much in them that they last you all week!

Andy Rodker club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne club
Me too, Rosa!! But that is because English newspapers are so expensive here (about 5€) and, even if for that you only get about 25% of what you get in Blighty for The Saturday Times, it lasts me well (and I use articles for my classes sometimes).

A very well composed photo, Rosa, I like that old lamp!

Astonishing that the the Daily Fail has an article based mainly on fact:-)
I get our local paper delivered every morning, other articles/ papers I read online if they don't have a paywall. The Guardian is still free:-)

I wouldn't pay to read one online either Gudrun. Ti be honest I get most of my news from our Channel 4 news hour each evening, except for Saturday's when I actually buy one ;-)

A beautifully composed image of this old church, Rosa. Rather fortunate they found the old masterpiece to cover most of the renovation costs.

Nice image and wonderful information Rosa, They have treated our parish church the same way so at funerals or any other event you may well find yourself sitting on a plastic chair with a stone floor so the slightest movement gives a very amplified noise.

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Roger (Grisly) club
That's not so good then Roger. My daughter is an events manager and one of the people she manages is doing a concert in a church in London on Wednesday. A great way for the church to get extra revenue.
