'hole' in the wall

Secret place. Excellent

It's been a delight over the years for our kids and their friends in an otherwise small house. Many a kid party/sleepover took place up there.

Wow, it's a Harry Potter room! That's amazing. I bet your kids loved it. :)

The window is very cute. Great entries, Laura!

The room was there when we bought the house - just a 3/4 attice space. We simply had to add a floor, a bit of covering so it had an actual ceiling, and added shelves and the window.

The kids and their friends were thrilled at all times - a great place to escape the adults!!

That's really clever, I'd love to have such a "hole"!

It came from the house being a half step up two level, left over space that was just unfinished 3/4 attice that we finished and put the window in. Everyone is always surprised when the 'cupboard' door gets opened!

I'll have a cheeseburger and small fries, please.

That's very cool, adults must love it, let alone kids !!

Everyone does love it - but the kids spent the most time there. I can stand up in the middle of the room, but the roof angles down at the edges, so shortness is a help!

Quite unusual... and practical!

I've never seen a room like it - we finished it so the kids loved it. Great way to get away from the adults!!

Excellent hiding place

oh yes! kids would disappear for hours. even now, if i'm up there to find something my husband can't find me (though he also can't find butter in the fridge, so maybe he's not a good example...).

It used to just be unfinished attic space. We got to finish the room so it could be a place for the kids to hang out. We still love having it.
