They perch erect on wires, posts, and low branches in open country, looking for prey.
Bluebirds drop-like-a-rock to the ground onto insects.
In Fall and Winter can usually be found on fruiting trees gobbling the berries.

These are so pretty. I don't see them often.

I've been trying to get a picture of a cardinal couple that keep coming to one of the few trees left outside my building. They sit long enough for me to grab my camera and get everything lined up, then take off just as a push the button.

Thanks for the visit and comments, Clint ...... haven't seen a Cardinal couple still long enough for a shot ... some birds are willing [ know they are listening to get food ] .. then will swoop down in a heartbeat .. call them the 'Rock Droppers'
