Wandering through my Archives, came across this forgotten photo of a unique building -
A Coffin Factory -
It is no longer standing -
Demolished as I stood across the street, steam coming from my ears!
The owners could have re-furbished it -
They had no use for it -
So, the lot stands empty with a new chain link fence around it -

What a waste -

It is amazing what they can do with an old building. It takes dedication, time and dollars. But if they care and are able, with some rehab, an investor, realtor or business owner can have a neat old building, from when buildings were built to last, all ready to run for another hundred years.

The building was a Historic Building - yet, that doesn't matter when some 'suits' can't see in front of their noses ...

I watched this old group of dockyard buildings being turned into a college for 14 - 18 year-old students of science, mathematics and engineering. www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/album/723445?with=36505122?with=36505122
Unfortunately there hasn't been enough uptake and it will close next summer. Some are hoping it will be turned into a further education college for 18+ students, using the current science and technology facilities.
