A compendium of poignant commentaries on the human condition

A compendium of poignant commentaries on the human condition
Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto.

OK, I butchered this one -- cut buddy's head off right at the neck. didn't get the subject centred properly, etc. But I was shooting quickly and the opportunity vanished the second after I took this, so I couldn't improve on it.

That's one of the poignant commentaries on the human condition.

Fred Fouarge, Ruebenkraut, Rainer Blankermann, Dutt Changgle and 7 other people have particularly liked this photo

We're an imperfect lot and can only do the best we can with what we're given. Like the shirt and the red shoes. A bit of a natty dresser.

An interesting thought I hadn't considered, Léopold -- about grandeur, I mean, not about the model. Thanks.

I should have been aiming so his feet would be near the bottom, but I was in too much of a rush, Andy.

I can sympathize John. Things often move or change so quickly that getting a "text book shot"
is just not possible. Cheers !

Thanks, Henry. That's actually one of the things I like about street photography.

Technically perfect shots are often overrated in my opinion............it's capturing the essence of the scene that really matters and sometimes you just have go go with what you can get..!!

I think you nailed it John..............missing head or not! Love the title :-)

Thanks, Keith. As Canadian Pacific says, in the age of PhotoShop perfection has become boring. And of course the great photographers didn't insist on perfection, nor are their photographs admired chiefly for their perfection.

I suspect the photo her friend was taking was more flattering than this one, too, Naturist.
