I like the fence and the reflections John..........no shortage of either in Toronto.

HFF to you and have a super weekend.

Thanks, Keith. Glass is very popular in Toronto, although it is scarcely appropriate for the climate. As a result you can walk down blocks downtown that have two sunny sides -- the one is lit by the reflection off the other. ANd get lots of refelctions.

All the best for your weekend, too.

Excellent this Mix of human soft beauty and hard mechanical angles. It is like two separate images out of one urban mixer !

Thank you very much, José, not just for the kind words but also for giving me an insight into what I could be doing.

HFF to you too, John!
A Subway has just moved into the street below me. It joins MacDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Taco Bell, etc etc all withing 3 minutes walk. To get a traditional Spanish basic lunchtime cheap but cheerful meal as all Spaniards expect to have as their right? ... Getting more and more difficult by the day. The Spanish cafes generally have a choice of 4-5 healthy options - important for a diabetic like me. There is sod all I can eat at the rubbish places that are taking over. :o(

It's sad to hear that, Andy. I can see having fast food joints for the tourists, but you'd think Spaniards would prize what they have. I particularly abominate Subway. Whoever is responsible for their bread should be locked up to stop the damage they're doing to civilization.

Pleased we agree, John! Normally when I post a little rant, I upset more people than agree with me!
I suppose when that happens, it's good for the soul!!

"Girls walking" has become a recent theme in your oevre. It fits the mood of early autumn and breezy weather, assuming that's what's happening at your end of the continent.

I think this theme is inspired by Michael Snow's Walking Woman series, Sarah, which was all the rage here in the 60s:

Snow is quite the lad. He turns 90 this year and is still going strong. This article catalogues a fair number of his achievements in several fields:

Thanks for sharing, I can see why you find him inspiring!
The first link produces an interesting array of images, including some where "snow" was taken more literally: www.iofbonehealth.org/news/winter-safety-advice-canada

I like "Be alert for hidden ice". If it's hidden, how can you be alert for it? The most important thing is to pay attention to what your feet are feeling. But I'm sure you know that from CH.

A belated HFF, John. An interesting contrast between the young lady and the angular urban landscape.
