Thank you very much Edna. It is a pretty well trodden route and from here we could see the foghorn which you can't from the main road up to the lighthouse. I am sure the Famous Five would have chosen this path!! Usually when we have visited it has been windy as it is quite high up but it was beautiful that day, perfectly calm and sunny.

I am pleased you like the song too - a blast from the past I enjoyed listening to.

For me every time we go back it feel like going home. I love the scenery and the history and the people are warm and friendly. We only ever stay for two weeks and it never feels like long enough.

Thank you very much Steve. Yes you are correct. This is where the film was made. It was based on a true story, as was the book, 'The Lamplighters' which I have recently read, although the author 'moved' the location to Cornwall for her book

Vinyl is making quite a comeback Dominique. I stubbornly hold on to my cd collection. Digital is fine but I like to play a real cd. I imagine that vinyl sounds awesome. I do not own a Pete Frampton cd but am looking to buy one.
