Season's greetings!

TSC: Traditions

Advent wreaths originally were a Protestant tradition which has long been taken up by most Germans. In the weeks before Christmas, every advent Sunday a new candle is lit. Usually the wreaths are of fir or other greenery and then decorated, mine is a metal ring that can be filled with anything you like.

Schöne Feiertage. Advent kalender haben wir in Italien nie gehabt, nur in den letzten Jahren ein wenig. Ich hab gerade gelesen das es ein Deutscher war, im 1908 ,Gerhard Lang,in Maulbronn der das gemacht hat. Dann haben auch andere Länder es angenommen.

Dank dir, Dany! Ich kenne sowohl Adventskranz als auch Adventskalender seit meiner Kindheit. Die Kalender waren früher nur aus Papier und hinter den Türchen waren Bilder, später gab es welche mit Schokolade und heute machen wir uns 24 Päckchen...
