Advent wreaths originally were a Protestant tradition which has long been taken up by most Germans. In the weeks before Christmas, every advent Sunday a new candle is lit. Usually the wreaths are of fir or other greenery and then decorated, mine is a metal ring that can be filled with anything you like.

Ja, die Wirtschaft stürzt sich auf alles, womit sich Geld machen lässt;-) Leider gehen oft die eigentlichen Traditionen dabei verloren.
