Herzlichen Dank, Ko! Island ist überall faszinierend. Hier ins Hochland kommt man nur ab frühestens Juli bis maximal September mit Allrad hin- es gibt auch einige größere Flussdurchquerungen unterwegs.

Auf Lanzarote sind die Strassen besser;-) Hier war die Piste erst 2 Tage vorher geöffnet worden und Ende Juli war sie schon wieder gesperrt (Erdrutsch mit 50m-Tsunami im Kratersee)- und dann kam eh die Eruption im Holuhraun...Wir hatten also Mords-Glück:-)

Thanks a lot, George! It's a marvel they managed to create a road of sorts through all that rough lava! You feel you can watch new land being created there as the American and Eurasian plates are drifting apart...

Tusen takk, Iris! LOL- es hat niemand geklagt, trotz der Holperei;-) Wir waren an dem Tag 14 Stunden unterwegs, die Hälfte der Strecke war so ähnlich- hat Spass gemacht!
