22/366: Mexican Hat Blossom
I grew lots of different flower species in my garden a couple of years ago, and one that I was really excited about was this one!
The Mexican Hat is a wildflower that grows readily over much of North America, though not on the east or west coasts. I had never seen one before, so when many of the seeds that I planted produced flowers, I was totally delighted! Such a gorgeous and unusual bloom!!
Explored on January 24, 2015. Highest placement, #17.
