Bosigran Head - granite of course!

Bosigran Head - granite of course!
I remember doing this climb in 1978 but I forget its name or its grade (of difficulty, possibly a VS - very severe - actually not so technically demanding). It was nice to escape for a few hours today and re-visit an old stamping ground: Zennor.
Shooting into the sun. Wasn't sure if it was going to work.

Fascinant ce magnifique paysage côtier garnit de granite. Ça doit être magnifique de revisiter les lieux de son jeune âge.
Bonne et agréable semaine à venir.

Yes, even though I hadn't been here since 2015, it seemed like yesterday!

Wow! It looks severe enough for me! Love the formation of the rock. Looks like someone was climbing the side when you took the shot.

Yes, he's on the final pitch and near the top when he'll discuss with his co-climbers whether they do another couple of climbs - or retire to the pub!

Beautiful textures in the rocks Andy. Good to see that you are enjoying some good coastal walks, despite the weather. I love this picture and thank you for your notes and local knowledge. Good to see people in the shot, as they help with scale!

Have a good new week Andy.

I think this has worked well Andy.............especially viewed large, where more the detail in the shadow areas can be seen.

Wow fancy something as old as this almost 8,000 years old, being in our little county of Cornwall. It's a wonderful scene and wonderful history of this area. I wish you a very happy new week,

Always good to see scenes like this one Andy. The human element and story does give extra life to the whole. I never did do any real rock climbing although I always was quite good at rock scrambling and thrilled at reaching what we though of as an impossible vertical wall. I can understand your consternation of someone in your seat! Well done.

Thanks for sharing with our UK Landscape Photography Group , Herb

Thanks Herb! Scrambling is what I've done since I gave up climbing per se.
Except that COVID seriously affected my sense of balance so i've been gingerly getting that back these past few months and scrambling over these rocks gave me much needed confidence in my quest to return to the mountains,

Ditto, Steve!
Although, funnily enough, I still get the odd hankering to do some relatively sedate climbs, even though I know I shouldn't and coudn't given my recent parlous medical history. But I would justify it on the basis of increasing my body strength. (No doubt others would see it a little differently and wonder about my mental failings!).
