I used to love walking along Torquay sea front in the wind and rain, especially when it was an easterly and the waves broke over the sea wall and the road got closed, so exhilarating!

Yes, but obviously not in this location exactly! (Too many man-made and natural rocky / stony impediments!)

A further point two weeks later! Steve, I'm reminded of a fact I am in danger of forgetting, namely that my girlfriend at the time I lived in Cornwall was the ex-wife of a world champion surfer and he was well known as the first person to surf the Severn Bore (you could google it for verification if you really want! I won't give his name but his surname begins with Su).
