View from my bedroom window to the central section of the Sierra de Guadarrama. (I've known worse scenery to wake up to!).

Two weeks here in Guadarrama: immersion classes in Business English, teaching students from the Government´s nuclear power regulators and site inspectors. Mountains left to right: Sierra del Quintanar, Siete Picos, Bola del Mundo and La Maliciosa.

Oh wow Andy, that is an absolutely stunning view from your bedroom window. I bet you wish you were there for longer than two weeks

Thank you, Jenny. The view is good but the building is a vast Stalinist lump wirhgout any character at all! Still, the rooms are comfortable. You can't have everything!

Great view--but La Maliciosa has an ominous name! ;)

And it is pretty tough to climb too! You need a flamethrower to get through the gnarled and twisted cistus and brambles as there are no paths up to it from the valley floor (I haven't tried - this is from a 1995 guide book and it put me right off!).

A super trio of images Andy.................there has to be much worse places to live and work, and as you demonstrate, the views are fantastic! I hope you get a chance to get out and about while you're there :-)

Take care................

Thank you, Keith. That won't be possible; immersion courses are hard work - 12 hours a day solid. No time for anything other than a quick coffee or beer in Guadarrama after lunch and then it's back to the classroom. But it's OK.

Looks like a fine place to study such subjects Andy. I bet if you look over your shoulder you can see fences too :)

This doesn't look very hard to take for a few weeks!

The view is great, George but it's no picnic; immersion courses are hard work for both students and teacher. You don't get any time to yourself and certainly no time to go exploring the countryside! In 38º C to be stuck indoors with no views at all for 12 hours a day ... well, I wouldn't do it for anything other than money. And that ain't no great shakes either, but we teachers need to bet paid somehow in the long and arid summer months without classes and therefore without pay!
