Near Gurnard's Head. The remains of VERY old stone walls.

Near Gurnard's Head. The remains of VERY old stone walls.
Porthmeor Cove, between Bosigran and Treen, Gurnard's Head, Zennor, Cornwall.
It has been claimed that these are the remains of the oldest man made stone constructions anywhere in the world still in use for their original purpose. Well, I don't think they are very effective as field walls today but I get the drift!

Synergy between human edifices and nature does exist then, it just takes an extremely long time!

Wow that's some claim isn't it? If it is true, then these stones are even more beautiful, because they have so much history as well as being so effective. I surmise that there had been more rocks to make up the walls, but these have probably fallen into the sea
