I was pleased to see these two.

I was pleased to see these two.
On an evening stroll near me, but down a pedestrianised road I hadn't been down before, I saw these. This game is hopscotch, I don't know the other one.

cammino, Gudrun, Erhard Bernstein, Ulrich John and 3 other people have particularly liked this photo

Did you play it when you were kid? I did! This looks quite professional!

No, it was decidedly a girl's game. My sister played it and we all played in the streets then; football or cricket (the boys), hopscotch or skipping with ropes (the girls). There weren't so many cars in the back streets!
This local authority approach surprised and pleased me! I just hope that local children use them, but I have my doubts.

Yes I think the local authority are marvellous to bother to paint these games. You never know, some children might just use them. I noticed that in Turkey there are parks with exercise apparatus for the use of anyone. There are descriptions what each apparatus does and they've even got ones for youngsters to use and whenever I passed the park near my daughter's home, there were always children on them.

It's the same here. Exercise apparatus in all the parks, especially designred to help keep elderly people more active; but everyone can use them and many do.

It's really good to see this (again)! Kids playing on the roads is slowly making a comeback as cars are starting to be kept out.

I remember chalking this on our pavement for my daughters when they were young! This is much more professionally done, but they both served the same purpose...........having fun..!!

I expect there's an App for it nowadays..................

A delightful image Andy!
