H. A. N. W. E. everybody! Convento Monasterio de San Julien y San Antonio

A freezing cold winter's day in the Sierra de La Cabrera but crystal-clear skies and it looks like the height of summer!
One hour earlier and I was freezing my whatsits off at the top there in a howling (cloudless) gale!

Easily the coldest day I have ever spent in the mountains (and that includes weekends ice-climbing in Scotland). Fortunately I had seen the forecast so was prepared. But even so. I curtailed my walk by half and scurried back down to a bar and a warming coffee by the fire before a bus ride home.

But that year was exceptional! More usual for winter are the greys and monotones that we all know!
