Le grand-père
Orchhâ (Inde) - Pas loin de ma guest-house, je croisais tous les jour ce grand-père et son petit-fils. L'homme tenait une petite épicerie indienne. Un magasin où l'on trouve des légumes et des sacs de ciment. Je lui achetais régulièrement des bouteilles d'eau minérale. Au bout d'une semaine nous étions copains. Un homme vraiment sympathique. Il parlait parfaitement l'anglais. Mieux que moi. Autrefois, il avait été enseignant dans une école publique. Mais le salaire étant insuffisant pour subsister aux besoins de sa famille, il avait repris l'épicerie de son père.

I find it sad that a teacher has to give up teaching to feed and support his family, especially when proper education for all is so important :(
