Milky Way Bow.

Milky Way Bow.
Just before I left At 5 AM in the morning I set my camera up as horizontal and took 4 photos of the whole bow with the 14 mm lens. The bow is sitting South to North and the Center Due West . Bottom right hand corner are the lights of Two Rocks, this is just 20 min from home. There are plenty of PIPs that come from my use of a tracker in the night sky.

According to aboriginal Legend this Emu has found his mate and is protecting the Egg, hence the Emu looking out into space watching what comes, bottom left end of the bow.. In summer time the Emu is hunting for a mate hence looking down at the ground

Lucky shot- Do look on black to get the effect of the Spotlights.

The PIP that shows the whole Bay is at 3 am when the bow is very high in the sky This shot is sitting much lower in the sky.
The Spot At Two Rocks. best seen on Black

ColRam, Special K, Ulrich G, grobi358 and 16 other people have particularly liked this photo

A great bow image and PiP series, Steve. You're certainly getting good results with your tracker.

George The interesting thing this is not tracked just normal 25 sec exposure. I thought the PIP's a good idea as you can see just from where they all come from on the image Of the Milky Way Bow.

Got to admit, that they don't come any better than these Steve. What a splendid series. Love the close-up pips too that demonstrate just some scale to all this. This certainly compensates you for some of our lush landscapes, streams and peaks that you don't quite have in WA. very well done again.

The interesting thing is you are right it does not come better than this, I am still in the city limits. to me the PIPs give the whole Bow a touch of reality and the detail out there. I am certainly not bless with beautiful landscapes here in WA so the black of night makes up for it alright. Glad you like this certainly my Take away fav of the night.

Este tipo de fotografías me parecen difíciles de conseguir y muy particulares. Pienso que son buenas fotografías, pero no están, por el momento, al alcance de mis habilidades.

Jose they are not hard at all if you have the right camera (which you have ), follow some very simple rules and choose the right time. they are the most rewarding photos you can ever take the time at night is time well spent.
